Autumn walk in Boxted

The weather today was perfect for a stroll around the village – crisp, clear and sunny – just right for capturing some autumnal colours against the rich blue sky …

Rusty is struggling with his injured leg and so a slow walk with lots of stops for photos was a good plan for both of us.

I was hoping to find more opportunities to photograph leaves in every shade of autumn -from the pale yellow of my local Silver Birch, through the burnt orange of Liquidamber to the rich red of a Sycamore. Everything looked so beautiful, but I was still yearning for more variety of colours …

The trees are turning more each day -so I have plenty of time left to capture ‘The Quintessential Autumn’.

Today,  I have captured things just as they were – on a wonderful October day in Boxted, Essex …
